Sex Trafficking is a woke term for prostitution these days. Being a John or a Pimp makes you a Sex Trafficker. Many don't realize that, unless they recently changed it, while I was in LE, being a prostitute was not illegal in Alabama unless you were in a city that outlawed it. It was however illegal to be a pimp or john.

There are cases that are truly terrible and are real. And yes as usual two things can be true at the same time, it is often used as a BS reason for ones current situation. As a cop you heard it all

I do know of a situation where a local druggie like to get gals hooked and start making them turn tricks for him so they could get some more dope. He never was arrested but was on the radar and almost impossible to prove. I didn’t know one gal but my neighbor at the time did and was good friends with her brother.
