I guess that’s why wygu beef is so desired. There is more white than red in those steaks.

Not me. The more marbling the better. Yep fat brings flavor, that’s why I’ve never cared for a filet. That strip of bacon is added for a reason

Just enjoyed my oven cooked roast. Once temp started going up I couldn't stop it. Went to 138 And was afraid I'd overcooked. Turned out perfect and very tender

I bought several last year and. Cut all into steaks. They were great. I bought two so far this week and they look great. Vac sealed the steaks tonight and put them in the freezer.

Smoked mine on Sunday. Pulled at 145 and let it rest for a 1/2 hour. Wife said it was too rare. That means I get the rest of it all to myself.

We like to do prime rib in the sous vide for holidays and special occasions. It's made the whole process so easy and consistent and it absolutely makes for a more tender piece of meat as well. Generously salt the roast and vacuum seal it, allow to brine for 12-24 hours, sous vide at 129.5 for 8-12 hours then pull it and cover in fresh ground rosemary, peppercorns and garlic powder then roast in the oven at 425 for 15 minutes. Let rest for an additional 15 minutes and it's absolutely the best prime rib I've ever had (and I've had a lot)

I bought a 21 lb'er today and will pick it up tomorrow. Sliced in to 1 inch thick steaks packed 2 per package double wrapped and a 4 bone roast. Should be pretty good!

I do em in oven I don't have grill adequate to cook one or Gamble on outcome.imo Do olive oil, garlic cloves, rosemary and thyme then put that in wife's chopper a minute then paste that onto any type steak roast .. perfect for ribroast or new York strip roast Cook at 450 for 15 minutes then reduce temp to 350 and cook untill rare done temp I think 130-135 with leave in thermometer roughly 30 minutes but greatly depends on size and then rest 20 minutes.good

Does anyone know how often Publix has this sale? I'm debating about buying enough to last my kid and I for the rest of the year but hate to invest about $600 in meat and the power go out. Or freezer break and the meat spoil.
Right now I've spent $300 on them and only have 31 steaks.
I was gonna buy enough to grill 2 steaks every Sunday for a year but now I'm wanting to buy enough til the next sale or 6mo worth?

Winn Dixie usually puts theirs on sale also around this time of year.
