The meat manager told me last night the sale ends 12/24. For some reason I thought the sale ended Sunday.

This. I bought two last year and made steaks. They were tough with no flavor.

we got one roast of some of the most beautiful steaks I've seen in a while. Went back the next day and got some ugly fatty steaks.

Yeah half of them are ugly.

I won't buy them if they have too much fat and marbling.

Just described every steak I've ever gotten from Publix. I'll get their rib roast, but only cook it was a whole roast.

I like lots of marbling in my ribeyes. I’ll see if Winn Dixie puts theirs on sale and grab one if they do.

We have 5 Angus calves we are feeding sweet feed to daily. Several folks have asked about buying and having them processed. I have never done this before, but have killed calves for ourselves many times over the years. The best meat I have ever eaten was steak we had grown on the farms here. There is no way store-bought beef can touch local farm-raised beef. I even had a lady ask about grass-fed beef. She was not interested in having one put up and grain-fed before slaughter.

Just a few thoughts on this rainy morning, but if you think those Publix steaks are good, you need to try local farm-raised beef. They will make your day!

I can't stand a thief.

I like a little marbling but not a lot. Especially the thick marbling, I do cut that out when I'm trying to eat. The dog knows he is getting a treat!

Am I wrong? I don't think there was this much fat on a ribeye for example back in the day. They tasted better too back then.

And yeah I have had home grown beef. It's a little different. The ground beef is awesome especially.

Y'all should try home grown pork sausage. It's way different than the garbage in the store. Tennessee Pride can't hold a candle to that.
