Every one I've ever rattled in, killed or passed , have been while in a tree stand. I rattled in 4 total ( I think) last year , one morning 2 and one was full grown.

"Why do you ask"?

Too many people spend money they don't have , on things they don't need, to impress people they don't know.

I have rattled in some good ones from a tree stand.

If you have a lot of bucks and the timing is right it’s a lot of fun.

Dang straight . That morning last year when I rattled in 2 , the second was full grown and probably the biggest buck I've seen in 4 years. He came in on a dead run and was on top of me before I knew it as the leaves were wet and there was a branch running. I didn't get him killed . frown

If all you have is a stick and string it gets frustrating.

I might break out a smoke stick this year and try it.

I know where a 80 acre oak flat is that is an island in January.

Need to break out some waders.

Pro tip: when you rattle , do it loud and long , you want to sound like two grown uns going at it. I learned that from watching two nice bucks in a real fight , not any pushing and shoving stuff. They "rattled in" a third big buck that lost his life.
