I've been shopping for some new tires for the "Old Ford Pick-up Truck"
I'm going up a few sizes but still keeping within a stock tire size that was offered on 1994 Ford F150 4x4's, and that's a 265/75r15 or a 31x10.5x15. I'm keeping the OEM aluminum "Bullet Hole" wheels in 15x7.5.
There's not a lot of tires in those sizes except in "Off-Brands" One I keep seeing is the General Grabber HTS60 All-Season
Does anyone have any experience with these?

It's been a long time and don't know if they've changed the rubber formula, but the set I had were good tires, with good tread life. I had the original General Grabber AT (looked more like the ATX than the AT2) on a 4Runner that saw a good bit of use in the summer on the farm, pulling seed and water trailers in plowed fields, as well as in snowy/icy conditions. Got snowed in at Ole Miss (band had 2 gigs..made 1 and spent a few days at the Ole Miss motel hunkered down). Made the decision to head back to Starkville and it was an iffy decision. Pulling an enclosed trailer full of equipment wasn't an issue and even went ahead, unhooked trailer and went back to pull the sound guy's pick up, filled with sound equip, out of the ditch and up a couple of hills. Tired never lost bite, got him through the worst, hooked trailer back up and made the rest of the (long, slow) trip at 35mph on an icy 2 lane road home. It was a full pucker trip, but the tires impressed me for future "iffy" outings. I will say that when they had all they could take and nearing the end of life, they got really mushy...changing lanes, I could feel them trying to roll (side roll) when quick, corrective steering was needed.

Thanks. That's a pretty sound endorsement.
I can pick up a set of 4 for about $600.

If you are planning on installing a small lift, go with a 33x10.50x15. The 31s will look small on it.
My uncle used to have the exact same truck, but a 95. He had a set of Mud dawgs on it. I can still hear those tires coming down the street.

It sits pretty nice like it is. I think it will look even better with the slightly larger tires on it. Plus it has the 3.08 gearing and 33" tires would make it even slower with less power to the road. My 2018 Ram 1500 with the 3.6 liter V6 and 3.55 gearing feels like an Honest to God Hot Rod compared to the 1994 F-150.

Back in the day Generals were great tires , don't know much bout them now days though. Take a look at Hercules too.
I have Kenda Klever MT on my 4 Runner , great tires for the $ .
With that 6 banger and 3.08 gearing I'd keep the stock size.

These (265/75r15) will be the larger of the two stock sizes offered in those years of F150 4x4 trucks. I kind of wish it had the 3.55 gears, but 1st and 2nd are already low enough as it is. If it had 3.55 gears, first would almost seem be unusable.

The HTS60 is a highway tire. Great tire but, very little off road grip.

The HTS60 is a highway tire. Great tire but, very little off road grip. If I'm going 4 wheelin' it's going to be in my Jeep Rubicon. This will be my "run to Lowe's, run errands, haul firewood and back road crusin'" truck. I've never even taken my 2018 Ram 4x4 off-road. I doubt I will be doing any real off-roading in it like Gomer. I mainly want tires that won't prematurely fail, that ride good, offer good wet weather traction and aren't noisy.

You can't hardly beat them for that application.

We bought a yukon xl that had those tires on it. I think the sidewalls were too weak for that size of vehicle because it drove terrible. I replaced them with michelin ltx ms load E tires and it drove great. Your vehicle wont weigh as much and it isnt your primary vehicle so I would say go ahead. But I wouldnt buy them for my daily driver.

They have a 112 load index which translates to 2,469 pounds per tire.

General makes great tires and definitely not “off brand” they’re a subsidiary of Continental.
