Delt. with a torn labrum in my right shoulder. Not sure in your age, but a labrum tear can heal without surgery. I fought with mine for close to two years, but between a handful or cortisone injections, I physical therapy and being careful with that shoulder for a bit, mine eventually healed and I am back 100% with full strength, range and zero pain and did not have to get cut on for it. I’ll be 43 in January & work a somewhat physical job (machinist)

I'd do what you can to take it easy and make your best attempt to let it heel without getting g cut on if you can. Mine was pretty bad for a while, had about given up hope it would get better, then I slowly rounded the corner. Had a meniscus tear in my knee cut out, and I wish I had tried other options on that now. Best of luck!

I’m 10 months post labrum and bicep tenodesis surgery. I highly recommend the Andrew’s Clinic and Dr. Cain. The first 3 months is rough and I’m still not 100%. Sleeping was very difficult for several weeks, even in a recliner. I’m 39 and Dr. Cain said surgery was my only choice to repair the tear. I would get a second opinion no matter what ortho surgeon you’ve seen, but the Andrew’s clinic is the best in my opinion.

If you’re a machinist and require surgery, plan on being out of work for about 6 weeks.
