I’m definitely more of a breaker than a fixer. I replaced the rear diff in a 87 400hp case Steiger was about the last thing I fixed that actually worked right afterwards. I’ve been working on an old marliss grain drill for about the last 2 years it seems Impressive! I've been a part of many tractor tear downs and rebuilds, but would take me a year to get one back together by myself. We had an IH 5488 torn down, for knocking, that stayed in pieces all over the shop for about 3 months. Finally got all the parts and head back from the machine shop to put it back together after we got finished with field work for lay-by. Some of our labor could hardly read or write, but knew exactly where every part went (and which bolt went in it) and had it back together in a week or so. Knowledge comes in more forms than book-smarts!
experience is a freakin' awesome teacher....
