6.5cm is a good round for Alabama whitetails when the shot is under 100 yards (I’ve got 2 in 2 years - one didn’t run and the other ran about 100 yards (double lung on the runner & it ran down hill and crashed in a creek and I could hear it kicking in a circle).

It’s all about shot placement with smaller rounds. Over 100 yards, I’d step it up

170 yard shot on a 200# plus Colorado mule deer from a 6.5 Creedmore shooting 127 grain Barnes LRX. He went about 10 yards. I would say the shot just scared him to death, but it was suppressed.

I'm right there with you. I started hunting with mine three years ago and it's 9 for 9 on whitetail bucks and 34 - 34 on pigs. Had one buck out of the 9 that ran and he didn't go 10 yards. The rest piled up in a heap right where they were standing.

I started year 4 this past weekend with it.
