Your question is filled with false assumptions. You've likely never even bothered to read the law for yourself and find answers to your own questions about it. Why not try that instead of depending on me to answer them for you?

Blazed and painted in a straight line?

To me a trespasser is no different than a thief! The person clearly knows they don’t own the property. Usually that means they’re up to no good. If I found someone on my property then my assumption is they’re doing something illegally.

not blazed, but I didn't even know that was a thing until yesterday. Still not exactly sure. I'm guessing scaping of some of the bark. But yes to the straight line. My hunting property is owned by 3-4 different timber companies. So the line is usually at the property line on the side getting cut. You'll see it in some other places as well but on the property lines its pretty straight.

You’re absolutely correct, I haven’t bothered to read the law because I was raised to stay off private property that didn’t belong to me. You still never answered my question and instead attempted to make a personal attack on me and that speaks volumes to your motives.

yes and no. All the property I've ever hunted didn't belong to me. The first buck I ever shot was on land that was questionable. The guy told me it was in bounds and had a shooting house set up on the line. Come to find out, the guy wasn't very honest. I don't think the landowner (were the buck was shot) cared, but the guy he gave permission to hunt his land, probably disagreed. I didn't find out till years later that area was even out of bounds. Sometimes its complicated when everyone, isn't the landowner.

It lasts a looong time, especially if you blaze the trees prior to painting.

Last year we had a lot of our property lines repainted in flourescent blue. That's my personal favotite color to use, but even with today's dedicated tree marking paint it doesn't even last a decade.

The last time those lines had been painted was in the early 80s and you could still see the majority of the original yellow paint. They don't make it like they used to lol

That old yellow was probably oil base traffic paint. None better , I have some still visible that was painted in '87.

I doubt the paint I use from ACE is as good as the old days, but it is oil based traffic paint.
It’s only $24.99/Gallon, too.

I blazed and painted all mine 3 years ago and they still look like they were painted yesterday, even the areas that are clearcut.
I just had fresh Firelanes pushed around the whole place, so I’m gonna hit them with another coat in February and I should be good for a decade or so.

Well fellows like 7mm08 said in the first response to my question the law is 13A-7-1. Now most of y’all keep up with where you are and try to do right. Some people can honestly get lost in Walmart parking lot. I didn’t have time to go all over the country to price check it was 43 dollars for bear osha purple at Home Depot. Now whether or not you can prosecute on the first offense I don’t no

I never meant to cause you any sorrow
I never meant to cause you any pain
I only wanted one time to see you laughing
I only wanted to see you
Laughing in the purple paint
Purple paint, purple paint
Purple paint, purple paint
