That's interesting. I was told just the opposite by a GW. Our plant is adjacent to the local airport. The airport was having trouble with deer on the runways. I went to the lady who then managed the airport and asked for permission to hunt it (bow only, inside the city limits). She was tickled for me to hunt it. However, when I told her I needed a written permit, she refused. That afternoon, I ran into the local warden in town and ran the situation by him. He plainly told me if he caught me hunting there, I would be cited.
