A good friend is into sipping tequilas and we’ll have some expensive stuff occasionally. It’s a game changer compared to the old tequilas of yesteryear.

I wished I had a dollar for every tequila pop consumed in the old days. 😂

Another good friend is into martinis and I can see that happening

I’m more of a whiskey on the rocks guy but I heck why not right

Classic cocktail at its finest.
Old fashioned is my favorite too but I use Jim and agave sweetener. keep it made up in a qt. jar in fridge - its like my mom's fermenting mixed fruit she kept in a jar on the counter in the 70's , just gets better the longer it marinates. wife likes hers with a couple cherries

Indeed it is known as Puerto Rican Egg nog! I use this recipe and skip the raisin part. I like to use a Jamaican dark rum, Appleton Estate 8 yr, I prefer the banana funk flavor that it has vs a spiced rum. Oh and I usually add a little extry rum...at least 2 cups in total.

Ingredients
1 ½ cups rum
2 cinnamon sticks
4 oz raisins, optional
1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
1 (15 oz) can cream of coconut, Coco Lopez or Goya brand
1 (13.5 oz) can coconut milk
4 oz evaporated milk
½ teaspoon freshly ground nutmeg
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
4 tablespoons shredded coconut, optional
Instructions
In a large pitcher with a lid (or two large jars with lids - this will make about 56 oz of liquid total) add rum, cinnamon sticks, and optional raisins (if using). Let sit for at least 1 hour, or up to a week. (This will add an extra depth of flavor to your coquito.)
In a blender, puree all the other ingredients. Pour into the bottle and shake well to combine with rum/raisins mixture.
Chill for at least 4 hours before serving to allow flavors to meld and coquito to thicken. (The coconut cream will thicken as it chills.)
Store in airtight container in refrigerator for up 6 weeks. Shake vigorously each time before serving!

My Dad always like eggnog and Jim Beam. He passed away last year. I think I'll have a few this year.

Aged egg nog. I always make a batch of it around this time of year, so it will be ready to drink during the holidays. I have a quart mason jar of it in the fridge from last year's batch, I always like to try a little bit of the prior year's to see how it ages.

Hot buttered rum. Only time of year I make it, you have to look past the ingredients list, the whole is much greater than the sum of the parts. I use Mount Gay rum, has just enough of the caramel flavor but doesn't over power it.

Not if it has enough alcohol.
