Not that many birds flying where I was at. And I think my barrel has to be bent. LOL I only recovered 4, + 1 unfound, + 1 not recoverable. Shot less than 1 1/2 boxes. I get a D minus.

I shot 3 times at 2 doves. I was at a nice place with lots of food for them, but it was bad.

Managed to kill ten but only shot a little over a box of shells. Birds just disappeared after that front rolled through.

Not too hot for me either. Plenty of birds but I was in the wrong spot... Still had fun though! I had a great time too, but I failed to put that in My original post. good friends, cool afternoon, I was outdoors, Only things missing were more birds and shooting skill for me.

Had a great shoot, almost everybody limited out. I was in my usual spot but didn't have the volume of doves coming thru the gap in the treeline I have always hunted. All in all, I give it a solid "B"
Give me bout 15 more minutes, I was dreamin about beavers..........

I Killed 3 birds with a 2 1/2 boxes of shells and about 15 beers....damn good day...Got 5 on the grill wrapped in bacon now.Goin back in the morning.

Had a great shoot, plenty of birds! Took my Lil girl ( she's 7). I let her hold my gun (unloaded) while I set up the Mojo, when I turned back around the end of the barrel was full of mud! Had to clean it out, she said it was heavy. RH

Had a great hunt in Etowah County, first hour we were covered up after that we had a steady stream of doves flying in. Almost everyone shot the limit.

I cleaned 47, we had the worst shoot I've seen on this place, birds just disappeared, here yesterday gone today
we had sunflowers and and fresh picked corn, all the birds I cleaned had eaten wild celery and or mustard seeds
we al had a good time as usual

My son and I got out in the field around 4:30pm. The war was already on when we got there. Had a great time being there. Tomorrow we are going to a private hunt that has lunch provided, door prizes, etc. Hope the weather works out tomorrow afternoon.

We had fun. My son killed 3 - his first multi-dove day. Got to meet Straycat and his son and also hang out with Jughead and his little killer. Would have had a better hunt if I could have been sitting on top of the transmission towers that the birds were flying over - might have been in killing range then. A lot of skyblasting, but hey, isn't that what opening day public dove hunts are for??

Great shoot. Birds swarmed all day in that wind.
A hundred acres of wheat, corn and sunflowers make for good dove shoot.

This was my 10 year old's first opening day. I had him a 11-48 remington .410 to shoot and I knew the birds would be hard to hit for him but at least it was not a single shot. He had a ball with the old gun but I kept trying to talk him into trying my 1100 20 ga. and when he did I never got it back. He wound up shooting 9 birds and we had a blast. Everyone got there limit or real close. I wound up killing 3 with the .410 before I got my other 20 out and that was a lot of fun. You have to let them get a little closer with it but it will knock 'em down.

Got the limit in about 1.5 hours this afternoon at my house. Could have shot plenty more.
