The rest of the family knowing where every "on" switch is for the lights, but they can't seem to find the "off".
I got fed up with lights being turned on and not turned off when not being used, so I told the wife and kids that the next time they turned a light on and didn't turn it off, I'd pull the light bulbs out of the light fixtures. My 11 yr old went about 3 weeks without a light in her room and to this day, she goes through the house turning lights out if she finds them on!!!

You'd think that an 18 yr old would know how to flush a toilet, but our adopted daughter wouldn't flush a toilet until it is more than disgusting. I told her next time I went in her bathroom and the toilet wasn't flushed, I'd take the toilet out and put a port-a-pottie outside and she could use it.
