We picked up the track about 8:30 and walked straight to the deer within a few minutes…I thought the deer was perfectly broadside when I shot and I’d pulled the shot toward the back of her ribs. I’m not sure what I saw when that nock hit her to make me think that??? I literally hit her where I was aiming, but she was quartered to me more than I realized. It exited at her last rib, so that totally explains the watery blood and gutty smell. She went about 100 yards and it was steady blood the whole way. Just like we all like it!!!
