Osceola National Forest here in NC Florida opens for Muzzy this Saturday Oct 21 (8 days) Weather should be cool and clear. Usually by now, we have had some sort of tropical moisture. This year it's dry. It's also the cusp of the rut here. The full moon is the 28th. I feel pretty good about my chances if I can shoot.  This is Bucks only w/ 3 on one side.

Shot/sighted in my new to me 58 cal over the wkend. Plan on being in the local woods for the short ML season. Always wanted to take one with cap/ball/BP! And my cast balls!

I'm trying to get out of clinic on 11/3 so I can hunt zone D. Have to see about Zone C.
Does it tick anyone else off that ML season always runs during the week days? Screws the working man.

My MZ season is over here in FL. I put in a fair amount of time without a legal shot. We had fair skies and a NE wind which favored my stand perfectly. Pretty slow
compared to years past.
