Me an my brother ustah just go to bow shops..or walmart🤷🏻…an just buy whatever broadheads looked good in texas..we had to kill so many deer anyway that the ranch bought arras an heads…we have literally sit in a ground blind..shot 5 deer..with 5 different broadheads..just to see what happens..i have my oppinions on the ones that are worth a flip..an the ones that are gimmicky junk..but..pretty much all of them broke after a deer or 2…the original schwackers an rages probly held up the best…those older schwackers with the thick blades are a dang beast of a head…i have no idea how many we could kill with a single head..ive kilt several with the same head..heck..ive kilt several pigs with that red practice schwacker🤷🏻…theys some new stuff out now that wudnt around then that we never tried..but we ustah lay waste tooem an we used it all..ive kilt a few with them killzones…they make a bog hole..but the little channels where the blade rides are thin an they will break off alot…id say the worst head i ever seen was them g5 meat seakers…idk what the heck their problem was..but about half the time them dang things wouldnt open right..still make a decent hole..but when they did like they was supposed to..dangit theyd nock a hole in a deer. I kilt a dump truck load with hypodermics..them was good little heads an my brother still shoots the trypans..they are kinda iffy on the opening..ive seenem do strange things..an thats me seein like 10 deer a weekend shot withem as thats the main head our guests used..them an ramcats..theyll nock a dang hole in something too. Idk what all we ahot stuff with…we shot so much crap out there we run arras over with the bushog…idk how many pig carcasses ive found 2 or three months after season with a arra stickin outa a scoulder blade or something..the schackers are tuff tho..i still shoot them and my trusty old vortex…vortex wudnt the toughest heads…but they flew dang good an cut a deer half in 2. I wouldnt relate our experience with alabama quantity wise..but as far as testin a broadhead…we tried about everything..an just about everything did the trick just fine if you slip it in the ribs an get an exit wound..if it flies good..dont be too picky.
