Trust me I know the hard way, whether you use a cheap Muddy or Reconyx, they are a complete crapshoot. They either work or they don’t and they work until they don’t.

Update. Swung by and pulled SD card and non of the pics sent (that wouldn't show up) were on the SD card. So i tapped cam a few times and deleted and formatted the card. Reckon we'll see what happens tonight. Been working for the last few hours, but now it's back to sending nothing again...

I have two of them, started the subscription back up and when I took a pic of the code thingy, the message I got was bad card and needed new camera. Bull dodo, put camera up and it went thru 2 packs of batteries in a month. 😁. Took camera down and cancelled it

I can unequivocally say that in management of my properties, cameras are more aggravating than the actual work and sometimes even theft.
One property I installed a hidden full time internet with wifi cam, works better than any cell cam I ever had. This one is for asset surveillance and would be useless for watching game.

when I started playing with cell cams I (luckily) bit the bullet and started off with Spartan cameras. They cost significantly more up front, but having a consistent camera that always works 100% has made it worth every penny over the years, not to mention their incredible customer service. I've heard too many horror stories about other cell cams to try anything else. Once things start going wrong it easy to loose confidence in your camera and when that happens it's almost worthless (are there really no deer there, or is the camera not working... again)
I hope you can get your cam working, but if you can't I would really check out Spartan.

If you have a camera that isn't checking in, the camera is bad. There is something wrong there, and they will basically run the batteries down, but everything you see says the batteries are good.
I just sent one back we use at the office, and they are upgrading me to a new one for a discount, but I have 7, and 4 have failed. Only 1 of the 3 I sent back for repair have worked after the repair. Sometimes I can hard reset one or pull the sim card out and clean it, and it will work for a while, but then, it stops.
I need a youtube page so I can flame them, I bet I get some camera's replaced for free then.

One thing I’ve learned about the SD cards is the formatting. When formatting them on my computer, there’s an option for FAT and EXFAT. I’ve always used the exfat for my Gen 1 cameras… but XB and X pros will only take cards that’s been formatted to the fat setting. Also, one of my XB’s wasn’t dated right… I downloaded a file to my sd card and followed the instructions and it’s working properly now. If you’re not on their FB group, do yourself a favor and join. It’s searchable, so you can get info about various problems people have experienced.

Mine stopped working about 6wks ago. Just got down to land to retrieve it. Would not turn on no matter what I did. Spoke to customer service and I’m sending it back next week. It’s out of warranty but guy said sometimes they waive it if it’s not too far past. We’ll see.
