Little history first. This cam is probably 3 weeks old and previously worked fine (well not for very long) up until last week. Last week it didn't check in for a couple of days, last check in said 100 percent batt and great signal, welp eased over and the SD card light was red and the battery was showing only one bar so i replaced. Tried looking over the SD card but it will NOT even read on my reader now. Have had zero issues with this card up until this. Didn't have another with me so i just shut it down. So today i shot by the hardware store and grabbed new SD and headed over to the property, welp it worked fine and took several pics up into the evening until about 8 or so then bam, it stopped showing pics. Below is what I'm getting. I'm currently running 4 of these cams and i'm not really impressed (only first one has worked flawless knock on wood) i would cancel service and dump the cams, but my prescription just renewed...

Have another 50 pics just liked that. I logged in and out few times and even cleaned some stuff on my phone. I'm assuming it's another issue with the brand new RECOMMENDED SD card smh....

Is there a filmware or update that it needs?
Is this the brand camera that is "picky" about the SD card it uses?
There was a post last week about a particular brand camera that needed a certain brand SD card to work well.

God Bless,
David B.

They are very picky about SD cards. Was your old card a Class 10?

Your SD card has to be a Class 10, U3, 16 GB or more and read speed must be 90 MB/s or more.
Recommended Brands of Card: Tactacam, Sandisk Extreme, Sandisk Extreme Pro, Herd360 Elite Pro, or Lexar.

I had the same issue as you; worked fine, then it went to crap. The above was customer services advice. Camera has been flawless since getting a recommended SD card.

We’re there pics on the SD card that didn’t send?
Looks like pics aren’t loading in the app. I would first delete the app then reinstall it
#1 culprit for cell camera issues is SD cards.

Fellers this ain't my first rodeo with the cameras i have FOUR 😁 The SD card that previously worked fine for over a week (worked fine in another tactacam also) won't even allow me to view on a reader now.

I spent days back and forth with Tactacam 2 years ago, the cameras were 1 year old then. I didn't want to believe them and thought they were totally full of poop. I've done what the recommended and have had zero issues running all 4 last year and the same 4 again this year so far. I'm not saying you are or aren't but in my experience as long as you use the SD cards they say and the batteries they say mine have run flawlessly. I also saw somewhere that if you remove the small SD card that comes with them they have to be in the original camera they can't be swapped around

I'm using their branded SD cards. Like I stated in original post my first cam has been flawless, the 3 purchased in the last 13 months have all had issues....

After reading a few forums, some are saying they called customer service about this issue and they said shutter was most like stuck and to tap on the cam a few times. HOWEVER I looked back and it sent several day pics around 8am that didn't show up either, but the one's from 11am and the present time are. 🤦🏿🤦🏿

I have several of these cameras as well. Tactacam customer service encouraged me to always format your SD card in the camera. Don't us a PC or Mac. I also had a camera with a stuck shutter that they replaced free of charge.

Update. Swung by and pulled SD card and non of the pics sent (that wouldn't show up) were on the SD card. So i tapped cam a few times and deleted and formatted the card. Reckon we'll see what happens tonight.
