I would ditch the supplemental feeding, improve my deer habitat, and then let nature take its course.

If you are leasing land, you are very limited on what you can do to improve the land. Hopefully you can plant good healthy green fields and I do think supplement feeding is something to consider. Corn is not supplement feeding. High protein feed [ 16% protein ] or higher is something to consider, even though it can get expensive, depending on number of feeders and how often you fill them. Right after the rut and in the time period does are dropping fawns is the best time for supplement feeding. Again, year round green fields help also.
If you own the land then of course you can do a lot to improve the habitat.

I feed about a ton a week, I mix half record rack half corn. I had a highly recommended biologist come down and do an evaluation on my place, thanks again Matt! I agreed with everything he said and am working toward ALL the habitat improvements he suggested. The problem with habitat improvements is they take time to work. Feeding works instantly. So my plan is to continue feeding while improving habitat, and slowly cut back on feeding. Mine is a five year plan, and seems to be working so far. I seem to have more.deer and not.really bigger bucks but more above average bucks. The number one thing that helps is quit shooting them! We shot one deer in three years, and this year we have several really good bucks coming out in the day!
