Scary stuff... like it or not, we have all cut a corner two when handling firearms/weapons. I caught myself about to check the tightness of my shotgun's screw-in choke the other day in the dove field with a shell in the chamber. Hope your recovery is swift, hipceo.

Glad you are still with us, and thanks for being transparent enough to share what actually happened. We all make mistakes, just have to prevent the worst ones from occurring. I would like to think I would never pull a loaded weapon up with a rope, but this will serve as a reminder to all of us to guard our thinking on all topics related to hunting and shooting.

Dang it man.....you'd better be speaking with the man upstairs and thanking him for his hand of protection being over you. Sounds like if the angle was slightly different, it could have angled through your butt and down into the inside of you leg. Femoral is right there and had a sharp broadhead gone through there, you wouldnt have even had time to get your phone out. You won the lotto and are one blessed and lucky man.
