If any monkey off the street can be trained to do your job, it is menial and shouldn’t pay much more than minimum wage. You can have someone trained to perform probably 75% of those union jobs in less than a month and that means the pay rate for that position dang sure shouldn’t be $25-$40/ hr. If these workers are so special and have such a great skill set, that it commands that kind of pay, it should be super easy to jump to another manufacturing facility in another industry at the top of the food chain and take someone else’s position and do a better job. Never happens. Why? Because most UAW workers are a coddled bunch of easily replaceable, worthless prima Dona’s that are used to working in a spotless environment, air conditioning and with 3 guys doing the work that 1 man should do. None of them wouldn’t survive a day in the field working in a mill, laying pipe or concrete, roofing, framing houses, a welding shop, a body shop or a mechanics shop. They are already overpaid for the value of job they perform. Those are just the facts.

Boom! ABolt nailed it.

Yes he did

I hate complacency and that appears to fester

This says it all . Any monkey can be trained to the same job over an over on assembly line . We are living a me,me,me society. I don’t want the mob go to bat for me.
