It’s a tremendous help to me for someone to mark their blood trail if I have to come in and try to track their deer. Not only does it make it easy to get started but it allows me to read the dog on a known scent line before we get to the point of loss and get a feel for the scenting conditions and how well the dog is picking up on it and working through all the search clutter. It can be really difficult just to get started sometimes when the hunter doesn’t know where the blood trail was from the night before and there’s been 4 or 5 people walking over the area. If you don’t see the deer go down and you gotta do any tracking whatsoever…..start dropping TP on the trail.

That should have been one of the first lessons you learned about deer hunting.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

N2TRKYS]I don’t shoot deer in the guts, so I don’t need to toilet paper my blood trails. 😎
Seem like every time I open my mouth & say something like this…it happens. Hope no for you.

My takeaway is..... They should give you a free roll of TP when you purchase a .243 or whatever other pea shooter 1/2 y'all are hunting with.
No government employees were harmed in the making of this mess.

A buddy in a club I was in told me about blue shop rags years ago, he said wipe your butt with them and then hang it over some barb wire, come back the next year and you can use again. Old joke in the club I started 1st hunting in mid 90's was one of the old guys was hiking up the hills in Jackson Co. Some real hills in Estill Fork. He was hot and sweaty and as he and my step dad crawled between some rocks he found a handkerchief hanging on a branch. Thinking it got pulled from someone's pocket he removed his hat to dry his head and wiped his face. Step Dad looks down and bursts out laughing so hard all he could do was point. Someone had Dropped a Deuce and ya know what the handkerchief was used for.

I'm glad Dolla Genrul and Autozone have the blue shop towels. Durable, yet soft enough for the ol' starfish.
