Red clover is notorious for reseeding so it builds up quick.
True that. I assumed when i saw the picture it wasnt a first season picture. Itwasnt was it? Red or Crimson clover. Crimson is an annual and Red is a perennial but in the south more of a annual two years at best

Gotcha. Crimson still pops up at the farm. I had a field of 20 plus acres of it. Guys said deer won’t eat it. They wore it out. Wished I still had pics of it.

A disk is useful. Like when you have a road you want to plant. Took me about 10 to 15 passes due to compaction, but.... I bet this stops alot of deer crossing this road. ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/vS5WzBa.jpg) That’s gonna be killin spot. Nothing like hunting roads. Never know what’s gonna cross

Lockjaw, I know your passionate about your patches. Sped a few minutes and either cut or defoliate them worthless gums so you don’t have a carpet of leaves. Cut every pine limb you can reach or you will loose that strip in a couple years.

Cut every pine limb you can reach or you will loose that strip in a couple years. I'm going to try. I have worked the last 4 saturdays, I worked all of labor day weekend out there. I broke my disk frame, so waiting on that. I have to order another shooting house for another spot we cleared. Then I need to disk in the lime in on 3 spots. What I could really use is a member passionate about shooting houses and stand placement.... LOL!! I will probably take a couple days off and just work out there.
