I don’t spray mine. I plant mid September and bushhog after broadcasting my seed and fertilizer. It doesn’t get bushhogged again until planting time in mid September. Turkeys nest in it in the Spring and fawns use it for cover in the summer. It has been working great for me for years. We did this a few times at a friends place and it worked well. Problem was Jerry was set in his ways that’s not how it’s done mindset. Gotta get great seed to soil contact. Most don’t realize seedling vigor matters.
