I love my dogs and spend tons of time training them. I enjoy working my dogs. They are still just dogs though. Brought Muzz to tsc one day and he caught kennel cough. Haven't ever took another one. Dogs don't belong anywhere serving food or grocery stores either. I'd rather be around my dogs than people anyday

You have to take the bits and pieces to see the whole. We call it “stupid” but the fact is they humanize animals and as pointed out by 3%Karen, they have more respect for the mutt than for other humans.

Got a Border Collie and a Schnauzer that are both like that. I don't reckon I need a dog that's likely to bite someone so that noone will mess with me. I don't reckon that I have to act like I'm likely to bite someone either so that people on the internet will think I'm a badazz. There's enough childlike posturing from a few in this thread to make me wonder if I should respect my dogs more than some people.

This is how bad it is. My sister paid someone an insane amount of money to fly on a plane a dog to her. She has gotten it bogusly registered as an emotional support animal. She takes it with her everywhere, unless she doesn't feel like it, then she dumps it off on my parents, which include my 81 year old dad with stage 2 parkinsons. As though he needs some stupid ankle biting dog running around his house and potentially causing him to fall and break a hip or worse.
She came over to my house with my parents and brings the dumb dog. It runs around my house jumping all over everything, and wants my attention, like I could give 2 chits, which only makes it want my attention worse.
She lets it outside to go to the bathroom where it feasts on dried rabbit turds. But he is pure bred something, and the most useless creature known to man.
But I guess he looks cute on facebook and instagram, all dressed up like a child. Do you think it ever dawned on her to ask me if it was ok to bring him over? No, because she thinks he is cute and amazing and cannot understand why anyone would feel differently.
That sums up your typical dog owner, and is why I don't like them, or their dog and why I don't want them in stores.

That sums up my sister's thinking perfectly when she brings one of her dogs over to my parents house. Mom would always ask why is the dog with you & she'd reply it wanted to go for a ride, like they couldn't tell it no & leave it at home w' the 5 other dogs. Will say though before dad passed last year (stage 5 Parkinsons) I think he kind of liked her dog coming around some. He never said as much & he was never a fan of inside dogs, but her little Chihuahua got a pass from him on the few occasions it was brought over. The dog is deaf & is super laid back, never barks, & not at all high strung like many of them are.
The left lane is for the the purpose of moving the flow of traffic forward regardless of the speed limit. If your impeding the flow of traffic get your ass in the right lane. It's really that simple...

Perfect example of why my dogs never are allowed in public places or dog parks. Seen it enough to consider it the norm. Well behaved, under control dogs are the exception.

Right on brother. They just don’t understand some folk don’t want the wagging tail to touch them, a cold nose to touch them, a lick, a pet, nor climbing on them or their chit. It’s actually assault and I deal with it as such My Grandaughter’s perpetual 2yr old child Black Lab is the ONLY dog that gets my mercy but he does respond and stop in his tracks to a particular hand gesture I do that looks like me shooting a rubber band into his nose. It only took three hits in the nose to learn he don’t dig dat !
