I used to make a fine one but quit because I can’t find a single vanilla wafer anymore that does not turn to mush. They changed the recipe of Nilla wafers years ago and ruined them. When I was newly married my wife told me one day for dinner we were going to have Banana Pudding for dessert and I was thrilled. After dinner she brought it out and I almost ended our budding young marriage by asking her “What the hell is that?”It was a bowl with vanilla wafers on bottom and a blob of Jello brand banana pudding mix covered by a blob of Cool Whip. I guess that’s what they call banana pudding in California. Lol
