All the noise and conversation about this one or that one doesn't matter. Your "betters" will determine that for you. Who gets on the final ballot? Each party holds a national convention to select a final presidential nominee. State delegates from the primaries and caucuses selected to represent the people will now “endorse” their favorite candidates and the final presidential nominee from each party will be officially announced at the end of the conventions. Who selects the delegates? (This was on Aug 8) In a bylaw change adopted Saturday, the Alabama Republican Party’s State Executive Committee will select delegates to send to Republican National Conventions, rather than having voters pick delegates from the ballot. Furthermore, Simpson argued that by allowing party committee members to elect delegates rather than voters, it could better ensure they were loyal to Republican causes, and close what he described as “a loophole, a gap in our laws.” Simply put - you will be handed a ballot with a name on it selected by your betters. You will have no choice in who that will be. That's why all this lead up, debates, and other BS is county fair level entertainment. Its all simple and effective distractions to keep you entertained so as not to interfere. Its already been decided.

Vote your conscience in the primary and vote "R" in the general......it's really the only option anymore

Vote against every damn incumbent in the primaries, no exception. I don't care what they do or who they are. These politicians in both parties are way to comfortable.

I believe that you may be correct Roadkill. Our elections now are reminiscent of the USSR in the 1980s. Any buffoon that believes that the last election was legit is part of "Them", from the presidential race to the fiasco in the Georgia runoffs.
Knowing what we know about the 2020 elections I can't help but to wonder about the legitimacy of the 2012 election. It was a shock then, but it's all starting to make sense now.
Ain't but one way this mess will ever be straightened out.

Always vote the slowest path to socialism. Key word, slowest.

I’m 38 years old and I’ve never gotten to vote *for* a presidential candidate, I’ve only been able to vote *against* the other guy. I wish that would change but I don’t expect it to. To paraphrase Animal Farm, “all politicians are worthless, but some are more worthless than others”

I despise Trump. He's an asshole of the highest order with a cult following unlike anything I've ever seen. But the moment they charged him with this bulldoodoo, he locked my vote. The establishment is far worse than Trump.
I don't care if you agree with my opinion of Trump. Doesn't matter. Once the power base decided to start their BS, he was a lock no matter what. And it sucks.
Character is not developed in moments of temptation and trial. That is when it is intended to be used.

Sad to say it, but this is pretty much how I feel too. I hate trump, but would vote for him again in the general election, just because of the principle of it. For the same reason I was ready to leave my fantastic job if they were going to force me to get the vax. I'm not particularly anti-vax, but I am anti people forcing me to do something against my will.
