I was terminated today out of the blue. I’ve never received any negative remarks about the job I do, or any constructive criticism. My boss has only had good things to say, but this afternoon he walked into my office with HR and informed me that today was my last day with the company. I know the Lord will provide, but boy it’s a crappy feeling.
That said, if anyone has an opening for a safety manager/director/industrial hygienist, or has a need for any consulting work, let me know!

With that experience and kind of work you should be able to find something soon. I saw some news where Ingalls is expanding for some large Navy ship builds. They may be needing folks.

I had the same thing happen to me 6 months ago, after almost 14 years on the job.
Like MarksOutdoors said, my termination turned out to be a blessing as well.

Its happened to me before. I told my boss the major account i was in was switching grades and everybody knows we will not be the supplier any more - i need to get out and develop new account r i could b cut!! He said no - everybody really likes u - u will never get fired. I said - no Tom - its a numbers game - when we lose this business folks will forget they like me 😀
About a year later he came to me crying and said they had to let me go - it was a numbers game 🤣🤣🤣. I was very graceful w him and did not say told u so dummy - i told u i needed to build new accounts. Instead i told him it would be ok
But it hurt - it stung. He later tried to hire me w a diff company
Hold your head up - best way to find job is word of mouth thru friends

It may no have anything to do with you. I've been there, multiple times and it sucks. Going from comfortably providing to jobless that quick sucks.
One piece of advice. Building your own business is hard work and difficult to do successfully, but once you get your feet under you, nobody can ever again take away your livelihood again.
I'd look for temporary work until I could start my own thing and never look back. Good luck.

If you have your faith where it sounds like you do then something better will be in store. Ive been there myself. One of the hardest prayers I've had to pray was Lord just put me where you want me as long as I can provide for my family. It has not always been my dream job but I am happy and pay the bills
