For those out there that will need a new hunt/fish license for 2023-24, today's the day you can begin the renewal. I just got mine done for dove season opener coming up on Sept 2nd. Got a lifetime hunt/fishing. Thank goodness I don’t have to keep up with that. Thanks for the reminder though Same. Best decision I ever made regarding licenses, many years ago. Damned shame tho that all the ticky-tack add-on permits, fees, special this and that, make the "lifetime" part pretty much moot. It's almost like the tsar taxing the citizens for firewood, doors, windows and anything else back in old Russia. If you're hunting migratory birds, don't forget to get your HIP permit and federal-state duck stamps. Or, I guess, your "electronic" stamp.

I figure the HIP permit, WMA license, or baiting permit makes all of us have to go through the process every year.

Same here. I'm on auto renewal. Mine also, but it also says I'm up to date on the HIP. The most recent shows 2021/2022. I can't find how to do the 2022/2023. Anybody?

You should not have to pay anything to hunt them. We don’t in FL but I guess we have tourist money and you don’t so you rip off your own citizens as well as out of state hunters. I never understood why your state did that other than to rip off folks.
