Same. Best decision I ever made regarding licenses, many years ago.
Damned shame tho that all the ticky-tack add-on permits, fees, special this and that, make the "lifetime" part pretty much moot. It's almost like the tsar taxing the citizens for firewood, doors, windows and anything else back in old Russia.
If you're hunting migratory birds, don't forget to get your HIP permit and federal-state duck stamps. Or, I guess, your "electronic" stamp.
