Looking to have the hide tanned and a European mount done. Who/where does it, and how much do they charge?

I had the first one I killed tanned and made some belts and wallets and stuff from it. This bunch out of Atlanta did it. https://amtan.com/

I also had a Euro mount done by a guy in MS who had dermestid beetles but I can't find his information now.

You need Johnny Walker taxidermy in Deland, FL. I’ve had 12 gators mounted and tanned by him and have never seen anything come close to comparing with his quality

How in tha heck have you been drawn for 12 gators when there’s still folks that’s never been drawn. Must be some LA or FL gators in the mix? That’s amazing. I see why they call you Gator

Yeah they’re not all Bama gators. They’re all legal though with federal CITES tags on all before folks start trying to start something

I’ve only got one that’s full body (European rug mount) I’ve sold half my tanned hides through the years. I was ate up with gator hunting when it started getting big and got friends with a nuisance trapper and got to help him a lot. Once swamp people got popular and everyone got gator farms there wasn’t money in the hides or meat anymore,

Got any pics? I’d like to see em. I think Gator mounts are cool. All mounts are cool but elk and gator are my favorites other than the ol whitetail

The lighter colored eyes are old, he switched to those darker eyes a few years ago. They look way better

I ran one over today with my tractor. I got him with the left front and left rear tire and knew for sure I got him and I’ll be dammed if he didn’t do a few pushups and hauled ass. They are some tough jokers
