So, I'm in the market for a new one. I don't want to spend that much, $350 or less, as I don't need all the bells and whistles. I just need enough memory to store pictures and videos. What say ye computer guru's?

I'm on an old Compaq presario CQ60 now. It was one of the rebate specials from Staples. Mine has been a good one so far, for what it is, a cheap laptop. Staples has almost always got a deal on a laptop with a rebate if you dont mind sending in the papers.

Mine is the same. Got it at Staples with a rebate. The monitor started acting up 6 months after I bought it. Now it has one of those large black paper clip things holding it together at the hinge. If I take that off the screen just flickers. The fan is not working correctly now so it overheats and shuts off. Now it's just started locking up at any given time.
