Tigerdirect and newegg both have great deals. Just narrow your fields down to what you want. I am a Mac snob so i cant much help. I will say that my wife gets toshibas from her work each year and they are great. 350 would get you a nice open box. Just remember what comes with buying a new laptop. Anti-virus, office, adobe, and all that jazz. Also it's a good idea to spend an additional 50 bucks and get a decent external hard drive ( about 250gb at least) so you can back up your puter. You can also store things on there that might bog the performance of your puter. And remember, if, or when, all goes to hell with the hard drive just boot from the external.
