Been to Haiti numerous times when on Active Duty. It hard to even describe how nasty that place is. And yes, corrupt as $hit!
Third World Countries get offended when they call Haiti that. They can pack a boat like sardines in some of the nastiest conditions ever... Oh I've seen some crazy $hit offloading those boats. Including dead bodies. They would piss and $hit in their boats. When we were on there putting them in our MSB, we had to stand in that crap. Haitian cologne we called it. Threw our boots in the drink when we got back to the ship.
Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.
My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

Every American should visit Haiti and Jamaica outside of the resorts. and the dominican, PR, honduras, most parts of mexico, etc. put on a wide brimmed hat, sunglasses, flip flops, a t-shirt, and don't look like a tourist and stroll through the city centers. there'd be a lot less defunding efforts going on here at home. My son spent the summer in Honduras last year working as a missionary. He is getting married in January and going back to Honduras in the spring with his wife and serving there for around 3 years. It’s tough there. Can be really dangerous if you don’t know what you are doing. But serving a people like that will change you. I’ve seen the change in him. Most kids there don’t have a father. The men move to the states to work, send money home for awhile, until they get a girlfriend here and then they abandon their family back home. Lots of youth growing up with no fathers, hustling in the streets. It takes a special person to want to reach those kids for Christ.

The Clinton Foundation is the blueprint It’s cost a lot of money to administer that money. Many of the donors get their monies back thru their foundations. Remember back years ago when journalist existed and they showed that many of the charities used 80-90% of their funds on administrative cost.

The cartel kidnaps Americans every day in Mexico. Dont hear a whole lot about that any more. Why do you reckon its important we know this about Haiti right now? That would be a good question to know the answer to. Theres all kinds of horrible things going on all over the place. Why are they wanting us to look at Haiti right now?

It means that some kind of political stunt is coming. My guess is that the media is doing some sort of set-up to make the Sound of Freedom people look bad. Haiti would be the perfect place to pull that kind of scam off.

These missionaries should be working here as oppose to abroad. Look in your backyard before going on a tropical vacation.

I have a special place in my heart for the people of Haiti. I have been on 2 mission trips there. Very sad to see the conditions that these people live in. And as far as a “tropical” vacation, sleeping in open air buildings on an air mattress was far from a vacation
People all over the world need to hear of my savior Jesus and if God can use me to influence just one person wherever I may be, then Glory to God
Corruption there, yes, but does that mean they shouldn’t be shown the love of Jesus?
Don’t know if I will ever be able to make a third trip with the state they are in

My ex in laws go to Costa Rica every year for mission trip and all they can talk about is how lovely it is and zip lining thru the tropical forest. Lefthorn go to the mountains of West Virginia and you’ll see what a third world country looks like in the great Ol US of A. People living in places that they have to stuff anything in the cracks to keep the cold out of. Check out the Whittakers.

Yet we have we have no special missions for the local homeless and less fortunate. Never has set right with me.

I have done homeless ministry in downtown Bham as well.
I try, and fail often, to be a missionary in my everyday walk

I try, and fail often, to be a missionary in my everyday walk May the Lord bless you in that every day walk, and on your trips to other lands too! There is no need for a Christian to have to defend mission trips to foreign lands; Jesus commanded His followers to go and teach "all nations." That's the only reason anyone needs to give for going. Nobody can go to every place, but everybody can go somewhere.
