Had to bump this because my Gator has given me fits lately. Last week I had to replace the fuel pump with just under 500 hours and the next day the damn drive belt disintegrated. The fuel pump from John Deere was $379.00 and haven't got the bill for the belt yet. I'm not hard on this machine and don't feel like this stuff should be going out at less than 500 hours and the cost of replacement parts from Deere is dayum near robbery. I think I'm gonna look at a Can Am Defender the next time I buy.
For the crew crew UTV, the best choices are Can Am or Polaris. Honda and Kawasaki Mule can be an honorable mention.

I chose Can Am defender crew cause I have buddies with them and they seem to handle the rice fields better than Polaris. They can haul anything and anyone. Haven’t seen a Honda in action in that environment.

But if you’re on deer club roads, ride/feel/price are probably going to be your driving forces.

I love my can am crew and have put it thru the paces for a couple of seasons now. Still adding accessories as money permits. Plenty of accessories available for either Can Am or Polaris.

One warning about the crew options: they aren’t nimble. turning around can be a challenge in tight places
That is an understatement!! I have a Polaris Crew and it is great but the turning radius is terrible!!

I work with a crew cab Kubota and I agree it ain't fast enough for me, when this gets traded it'll be for a John Deere.

Honda has a 6 seater Pioneer 1000. 2 full bench seats and full bed. It is stretched out, so the turning radius is on par with the Ranger Crew.

I built my own roof out of aluminum and incorporated a gun rack. It turned out pretty good. I'll see if I can figure out how to post pics.

Neighbor has one of them and says the driver is the only one who has any fun. The passenger and people in the back just rode and eat dust and get bored

^^^ My Yamaha Rhino fit on a 5x8, but barely as it was 58” outside the tires. Maybe 2” to spare widthwise, but the gate wouldn’t close enough to latch on the length. Most, now days, have a wider stance. There are some mid-sized options, but length may get you. I upgraded to 6x10 for breathing room and had to upgrade again when I got a Pioneer 1K5.

Why not another Mule?

It’s all my 6x10 wants with my can-am hd10 regular size

I don’t load mine backwards because it can blow out the front window, that’s what I was told from dealer

Just recently got a can am defender hd10 xt crew and it is all my 7x16 trailer wants plus it’s got doors so those are tight to get in/out of something to think about.
