We replaced our main unit which was a trane with a Goodman. The compressor on the Goodman failed at year 5. The compressor is covered but not the labor, removing and replacing the refrigerant, which comes at a cost, and some other miscellaneous charges. It’s still not cheap to do that. I do like the Goodman, it is quieter than the trane was, and our utility bill went down. So it must be more efficient. Our customers are amazed at how quiet the DAIKIN Fit / Amana S systems are. It’s really remarkable compared to what most have dealt with leading up to the install of these systems.
