It is over the garage. If we did a mini split I think the outside portion would have lines running down the side of the house that my wife would not appreciate and maybe not me either. I’ll have them price a mini split just to be able to compare.
I’m guessing the cost will be more than expected, but it seems everything has gone up to that point. I’ll update after they visit. You are going to have to run lines to the outside unit either way. We’ll he’s probably referring to being able to re-use the existing lineset for the traditional split system vs having to run a new lineset for the mini-splits. I’m guessing the existing lineset isn’t exposed on the exterior wall.
