Unpacked my bow from the move last fall and shot it some this evening and noticed that my pins seemed to be fuzzy at 30-40 yards.

I don't ever remember having them be fuzzy before but anything else this could be caused by? Could 8t be a peep-sight / focus issue?

I'm shooting a trophy ridge react.

Well first make your sure peep is straight to your eye at full draw.
May could try playing with peep size and see if that clears it up.
Order a specialty peep and get a verifier of the correct diameter and strength that will be last step.
Could be old eyes and a trip to the eye doc as mentioned.
If you end goin the verifier route most shops will have a test kit to get you the right strength verifier as there a lil pricey

How old are you? Over 40 or 45? Go see the eye doc. Preferably one that hunts. thumbup

They make a "magnifying" peep site. I was having the same issue a few years ago and had on put in place of my old peep. Problem solved.

Do you wear glasses? If so, you may need a verifier in the peep.

I still have 20-20 vision but I needed one when shooting targets. 3d deer and hunting is fine but shooting bright targets mine gets bad.

Ive never had to wear glasses, eye exams have always been good. It's making it hard for me to tell whether I'm aiming at inconsistent spots or whether my groups are just bad.

Light coming in at a certain angle at those yardages could be it. At certain times my pins are fuzzy but I usually shoot in partial shade. Your eyes are the same basic distance from the pin whether your shooting at ten or fifty so I wouldn’t be sure it’s your eyes. I noticed you said you shot in the evening so I could be wrong. Mine happens rarely just when the sun is in a certain place.

I asked because I had the same problem with glasses, and a verifier helped alot. When I took my glasses off, the pins are clear as can be (without a verifier). Fortunately, my eyes got better with long sighting within the last year or so, and don't have to wear glasses for driving and outdoors. Now on the other hand, reading fine print up close sucks now, but I'll take that tradeoff anytime.

I'm going to have my bow restrung and some things adjusted on it here in about a month. I do see where my peep has a little bit of a turn to it when at full draw. When I have the work done on my bow I'll ask about the verifier and other things that have been mentioned.

Probably need a check up at the eye Dr too, since it's been a while since I've done all that.

go to a bow shop that has the thingy to see what verifier you need.

I switched to a single pin several years ago for this reason alone.
