Parents are the worst part of youth sports. From the little guys all the way through high school. I have coached baseball and football in the past, and let me tell y’all, you have no right to sit back and second guess how a coach runs his program. Your right is to not participate. You aren’t in meetings, you aren’t in film rooms, you aren’t at practices (for the most part) and you aren’t privy to all the information that the coach is basing his decisions on. It is soooo easy to just sit back and critique EVERY EINGLE DECISION someone makes based on pure outcome. Just think if you had 10-120 people or more watching your job and criticizing every move. Just because your kid is involved doesn’t give you that right. If you don’t like it then don’t freaking play.
Mjh97, it sounds like this guy is an idiot, but he’s the coach, you are the parent, and your kid is the player. So you parent. That’s your job. Coaching the basketball program isn’t. If basketball is such a high priority to your family, then you should have your kid at a school that is committed to having a good program. That’s your fault and no one else’s.

I apologize for being so outspoken about this. I just get tired of parents thinking that it’s ok to do what they do nowadays. If you are a high school coach you can’t win. Someone is always mad about something. And it’s usually the parent who don’t know their butt from a hole in the ground. I’m not saying that’s the case here, but it usually is.
