Have you checked with Bayside Boykins ? They have some great looking dogs. There's also a breeder in N AL but I can't remember the name, need to search FB. Edit-Keta's Boykin Spaniels but it looks like they aren't currently breeding, they were sharing ads for a doodle breeder.

Good luck with your search, here’s our grand-dog Ivy. She spends about as much time with us as her parents due to work schedules. Best lap buddy ever, great disposition and loves to hunt.

Don't overlook a Field Bred English Cocker; similar breeds. Also; GREAT companions and hunters. Been really pleased with mine.
Good luck with your search!

2nd on the Cockers. I've had several of both breeds, and I'm (slightly) more of a Cocker fan. Rex Clark at High Log Creek in Hurtsboro uses cockers as flusher/retrievers on quail hunts. He has a couple of Cocker males, and can usually find a puppy within the next month or 2. He may well know where a good Boykin is in the area. I know he located one for me a few years back.

I just bred my male to female in Birmingham area. Will be really nice puppies out of hunting and competition stock. All health testing done. Let me know if you are interested and I’ll provide you the breeders info.

Of an age to be great companions.
FWIW - like Cockers, those dogs do best as working/truck/sofa dogs. They like to be with their people 24/7, "helping" with whatever the boss is doing. Sticking them in a kennel except for training and work sessions doesn't suit the personality. Good luck with the dog.

Most need lots of exercise every day or they are hard to live with in the house. We have 3 and love the breed.

Mine will be 7 in July. She is a great dog. Lives inside 90% of the time and sleeps in the bed. She is just a pet as I failed to send her to school when she needed to go due to having a new born baby. She won't be my last boykin.

If I was suggesting getting a boykin I would look on facebook at Boykin Spaniel Duck Hunters or Boykin Spaniel Breeders page. Both of these pages have litter announcements on them and they also have their health clearances. I wouldnt consider buying a puppy in today's time whose parents dont have health cert's. That's just my opinion but I believe laidback and several others on here would agree with me.

I would never buy one without all the testing done. It’s not cheap to do the testing and the price of a puppy will reflect that. Spending $500 more for a pup that is off tested dogs may be the best $500 ever spent versus spending less and having a pup that suffers with genetic disorders. I will not breed my male to a female who has not had the testing done.
