Made a plan to deer hunt them on a clover patch this morning. Scouted it out yesterday and there were tons of fresh sign. I even found hen on the nest and backed out quiet as I could. So, I knew there had to be turkey frequenting the area.
Got out there early, dragged in a ground blind, chair, etc., and got comfortable. No gobbles heard, but I wasn't expecting any. Dang wind tried to blow my blind over multiple times. Stuck it out until 1pm quitting time. Never heard or saw anything. Looks like year 5 is going to be a bust. Maybe year 6 I'll kill one.
