I'm looking to purchase a new mower. I wanted a scag tiger cat but the price has me looking at others. Does anyone have any experience with the spartan mowers?

Not familiar with the spartan but I have a bad boy and I have been pleased with it. I had a scag but I was not pleased with it. Too many problems. The bad boy doesn’t have the suction on the deck like the scag but still cuts very well and has plenty of motor. I wanna say the bad boy owners split and one kept bad boy and one started the spartan. From what I have seen both are dang near then same

Weve had a scag liberty for about four years. Been a good one. Quite a bit cheaper than the tiger

Guy I hunt with has or had a Spartan. It spent a lot of time in the shop. He wasn’t happy with it. I have a bad boy and it has worked well for me. My second year with it and I’ve had no issues

Look at a toro titan it’s reasonably priced and a pretty decent mower.
Would walk over a naked woman to get to a gobblin turkey!

Buy once cry once. I’ve had the same tiger cat for 3 years. Worth it. My wife has claimed the mower. I don’t even get to use it.

I had a Toro timecutter 5075 that I really liked and had no problems with. I sold it to my dad bc I don't have a big yard anymore but he uses it on his farm with no issues.
I do like the bagging attachment for cleaning leaves (we have a bunch of oaks). He brings it off the farm when the leaves drop and we still use it to get the leaves up.

Been thinking of selling my smaller Ferris: 61” cut, 26hp commercial Vanguard motor. It has been awesome and only reason to sell would be that the big one I bought last year can easily handle my whole property.

X-Mark and TORO share a lot of parts. I think Gravely does too.

BadBoy Magnum pretty durable for the price cut 6 acres of Bahia for 3 years, regular maintenance, belts, batteries and blades. So far so good.
