I haven't started one of these all year, so let's give it a try. I am down to my last tag, but I have hunted enough to be finished by now. I haven't been at all lucky this season, and several turkeys have gotten away without me taking a shot at them. One gobbler in particular has eluded me 4 times. Maybe it's time for his luck to run out. Good hunting to all!

Good luck guys - happy b-day left

Hope u get him pcp - i hav 3 and hunted a bunch and thats about my only encounters so i should not hav 3 - very lucky

Blessed to be out this morning

I hav one bird in here that never gobbles - he let me play one time last year and he gobbled 5-6 times - he saw me move at 40 yards - thats the prob w silent birds

don't think he gobbled where i can hear him all year - seen him on cam and i hav bumped his silent butt n roads / like last year. Saw one giant spurred bird here n deer season - walked right by my blind - guessing that him - doubt i kill him cause i doubt he gives me a shot

Some mornings it just works. Bird in hand by 630, at my desk by 730. Did exactly like he was supposed to. Our club limit is three so I am done for the year. It's only been this week (got one tuesday morning also) that our birds have started acting right. They have been henned up and stubborn as all get out since opening day. Most years it would be over by this time.

I hope the ones on our side of the line are cooperative this weekend.

Ours just started really gobbling in washington county last weekend. Knew we had birds but just werent hearing them. Had 3 really good hunts last but couldnt seal the deal. Of course I have been too swamped with work to get up there this week. Hopefully it will be a little easier to get on one later in the season. We have also been having some very good afternoon hunts. I had safety off on one that put on the breaks behind a tree and decided he didnt like a set up one afternoon. Came charging across field toward me though before that at full sprint. Another buddy had a very good afternoon hunt with a hot gobbler but somehow couldnt close the deal. Think the bird didnt want to cross water to him.
