So, the 8" boots won't keep you dry when crossing a creek. What are y'all doing in that scenario? The property I hunt has a creek that ranges from 1-2', and Mi have to cross it multiple times during the day. A crispi won't help me there. Or thick contractor trash bags

A tall rubber boot is under 2' tall. You can use some kind of hip boot or just get wet. Ripple sole jungle boots ain't too bad for walking flat ground.

I’ve never had a leather boot or anything other than rubber keep it’s waterproofing long. I’ve had a pair of Crispi Nevadas for 5 years and they still don’t leak. I condition them before season and before we go out west. They won’t help in this situation as you ain’t crossing a creek that’s 1-2’ without waders.

Alpha burly pro’s I’ve had do fine in foot of water. Got to take it easy up to about 15”. I’m sure 2 feet of water would require waders. I coon hunt with hip waders and have carried them to cross a creek that was deeper than my rubber boots. It’s tuff to choose nowadays between price/comfort/waterproofness. Good luck bum

And can you really call yourself a turkey hunter if you've never been chest deep in the dark with your gun and calls held high over your head to get to a roosted gobbler?
I'll admit the sound of a gator sliding off in the dark is a little concerning but you do what you gotta do.
