I never worried about snakes till I traveled to TX/OK and decided I need to try some snake boots. I bought the waterproof chippewahs and they were great, but after a few years they seemed to be slippery everywhere I walked especially climbing hillls. I went to Crispi with gaiters and was happy for a few years, but even those are no longer waterproof. This year I tried the superlite boots and they feel great. They are made just like crocs, so they are completely waterproof annd incredibly lightweight. Only 2 issues is that material isn’t gonna tolerate a bunch of briars and like any rubber boots, my feet still sweat.
