I am going to buy 1 of my employees' a Benelli shotgun. I am trying to decide between the Montefeltro silver or the Super Vinci. This is a gift for being here 15 years. He owns some nice rifles but only has lower end shotguns. Help me to decide what to buy.

Might wanna feel him out on what he kinda likes. I’ve always been a winchester man on shotguns and bought a beneli and couldn’t hit the broad side of barn. The gun didn’t fit me right so I got rid of it and went back to a winchester sx3. After that you just about couldn’t give me a beneli I hate them now

Hiring? Seriously nice gesture.

Simple, if he is a big guy get him the heavier gun.

I guess it depends on what he’d use it for but if it were ME, I’d rather have the Montefeltro. The Super Vinci May be a good gun but they’re ugly as homemade sin. If he’s a hardcore duck hunter then maybe the SBE3?

Seems like Montefeltro would be a more fitting gift for years of service. I'm with Gomer, while they may be nice utility shotguns, the Super Vinci's are ugly as sin and I know at least two guys I hunt ducks with in Arkansas who had major issues with theirs.

Between those 2, I’d go with the Montefeltro Silver all day long and twice on Sunday.

To answer your question, the Montefeltro. But, not that you asked, I've shot thousands of rounds thru a Benelli and a Berretta and would never buy a Benelli if buying a NEW semi auto. I would buy the Beretta A400 Extreme. Shoots to point of aim, (Benelli's typically shoot high for me), points great and is easy on the shoulder.

Benelli would be a last pick for me also. For the price you looking you could get him a nice over under.

Same. I shoot Winchesters and Berettas. Don't hand me no Remington nor Benelli if you want something hit.

Tell him you're taking him to lunch to celebrate and stop by the gun shop first and surprise him by letting him pick.

He likes the Benelli shotguns. He has shot some that his friends have, but says he could never spend that kind of money on one for himself. So it's definitely going to be a Benelli. I was leaning towards the Montefeltro myself because it is more of a "Gift" looking gun. He is the type that will pull it out every chance he gets to show it off. I want it to be something he is proud of and has a little flash to it. And yes we are always hiring! I have 2 more that will be coming up on their 15 years here in the next couple of years and want them to see what they have coming. In the automotive repair business it is hard to keep employees longer than a few years so I like to reward them with longevity gifts along with paying them above the average wage for our market.

Heck of a nice gesture. I just hit 17 years and didn’t even get an acknowledgment. Doesn’t matter, as long as they keep sending the paychecks.

Come on y'all. The man asked a question about which one of the two you'd like, not what you think he should do, or what he should give. Great gesture Brian.
