I travel a lot and stumbled on the “Secrets True Crime” podcast that seems to be centered on Walker County. The first several episodes were focused on the murder of Eric Cates and the last few have been the disappearance of Jessica Hamby. One thing is clear to me, y’all have a shucks load of dope heads up there and it’s a couple generations deep. Granted, the host of the podcast is a bleeding heart liberal who doesn’t fault the victims at all for their shifty choices in life but it’s still interesting. Anybody familiar with these cases? The Jessica Hamby case is a Marion County case. She was last seen at the home of one of my clients. The local rumor here is that she overdosed and died and the other folks with her got scared and disposed of the body.
