You'll fall in love with them. Another plus of being a Martin landlord is killing House Sparrows and Starlings. Both are invasive species from Europe. They are not protected by the Migratory Bird Treaty Act. Both will kill native cavity nesting birds to take over their nest. My trigger finger stays sharp and ready because I shoot them all year round. I am fortunate to be able to use a .22 with subsonic ammo here on our farm. I don't have to worry about hitting a neighbors house. I killed 4 Starlings and one HOSP yesterday and one HOSP this morning.
