My dog Bama was pushing 13y/o. He retrieved lord knows how many ducks/geese over the years. He also helped me trap moles on farms and liked to find elk antlers. He had gone deaf, had some tumors, but he was right there with ya anytime he could be. Wife called
me while I was out this morning looking at elk and I had to come home and do the deed. He was pretty much on his last breaths when I arrived. No more dogs for a while...
