Well I’m half way through about 15 acres of long leaf with the chainsaw. I’ve probably cut 250 6-12” volunteer loblolly so far and probably have another 2-300 to go. I should have done this a long time ago and it wouldn’t have been as bad. Hopefully I see some improvement in weeds and grasses this year for all the work. postimg.cc/QHxw7rBw] ![[Linked Image]](https://i.postimg.cc/jdzbGxRx/9-A1-EF613-1-E9-C-4423-9993-B1-C3-BE1829-AB.jpg) postimg.cc/hXXYCb10] ![[Linked Image]](https://i.postimg.cc/HkzCk6JF/15-B5-BCFB-9-F17-4727-B4-D8-E9428-C38-BE8-F.jpg) postimg.cc/DWsMhvDJ] ![[Linked Image]](https://i.postimg.cc/vmSFWDtz/1-C2-E25-FC-256-B-4-E69-99-A5-F8-B9602-D4-D4-E.jpg) //postimg.cc/w1nGnyWY] ![[Linked Image]](https://i.postimg.cc/q77Hh2yq/7-F268-EE5-7-EAF-4635-9-D14-54-D59-B61-E65-C.jpg)

If you plan on burning in the near future keep in mind that its going to be a lot of fuel.......Would be awesome if you could mulch it.......

Cut them then blaze it in a year or two. Those pines look big enough to tolerate fire. You can always contact your local forestery commission and get a recommendation.

If you can run a disc through there to turn over the soil and expose the seed bed. Deer need growth.

For a decent amount of light you’d have to thin the mess out of them. They look good for a pure timber stand though.
